Victorian Mahogany Two Door Chiffonier

Description

Circa 1870, Victorian mahogany two door chiffonier. The raised back has a stylish carved top with foliate carving left and right, over a serpentine shelf with a crossbanded front which is held in place by stylish well carved brackets. Below this is an oval panel framed with a raised beading. The large flat surface has an ogee moulded edge, and beneath this are 2 ogee faced drawers which have mahogany liners. To the left and right of these is a large block and a carved corbel. The 2 cupboard doors have arched panels and open to reveal a single shelf. All stands on an enclosed plinth base. Neat sized example of a Victorian chiffonier.

Size 153cm high x 122cm wide x 44cm deep.
