Campaign Secretaire Chest of Drawers C.1870.

Description

Exceptional piece of Victorian military campaign furniture for today. A fine campaign chest of drawers in two pieces with secretaire or bureau top c.1870. Typically robust construction in solid camphorwood, a fragrant and pest resistant timber ideal for protecting contents during travel in an exotic climate, with brass corners and bindings. Top drawer slides and folds open to reveal a fitted interior of stationery drawers, pigeon holes and a small lockable cupboard (key supplied). Excellent colour and condition, retaining the original brass bindings, flush fitting drawer handles and heavy duty carrying handles. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
