Waterfall Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
There is a moulded edge overhanging top and a simple plinth base support. This rare model has a huge storage capacity having nine drawers but occupies a relatively small footprint. It has its original finish with a rich, warm colour and a glowing patination. There is a working key to the third drawer down from the top. English, c.1850 – c.1875.
