Description

An absolutely exquisite mid-19th century chest of drawers in mahogany. This beautiful example of English cabinetmaking – rare and desirable for being of such small proportions measuring just 24.5” (625mm) across – consists of four full-width gently graduated drawers all of which are lined in solid English oak. There are two turned knob handles to each drawer, a plain plinth base support, the original backing boards, and a working key to the top drawer. This fine chest of drawers is English, c.1840 – c.1860.
