Unusual Small Georgian Country Mahogany Antique Chest On Chest

This Unusual Small Georgian Country Mahogany Antique Chest On Chest circa, 1790 is of unusual small proportions making it ideal for a smaller room. This wonderful Chest on Chest has a moulded cornice above two over four graduating cock beaded drawers with decorative boxwood string inlay. It has the original decorative brass handles and stands on splayed bracket feet with a shaped apron and decorative starburst inlay. This lovely chest shows signs of old repairs and character which in no way detract from its overall beauty it just adds to the charm of this antique piece, it splits into two pieces for easy removal. The Mahogany has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
