Description

Dating from the Georgian period, circa 1790, this wonderful antique mahogany chest on chest is of super quality. The moulded cornice has dental moulding and sits above two over six graduating oak lined drawers with oval decorative re instated brass handles. The upper corners of this stunning chest are canted with decorative inlay banding and it stands on shaped bracket feet, the chest on chest also splits into two sections for easy removal. The mahogany has aged to a warm medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
