Description

This chest is just superb . The cabinet maker, around 1860 selected top quality mahogany veneers which match perfectly on all six drawers.

The condition is excellent with all drawers running smoothly. The original single key locks all six drawers separately. Later hand crafted handles and escutchons.

I have tried to show the half round raised platform on the top of the chest which would have been used for something similar to a wig stand or mirror etc.

I cannot emphasise enough the quality of this piece of furniture . One of the main features being the half rounded drawer frames.

The whole chest stands on its original feet and measures 42 ins wide, 63 ins high and is 21 ins deep.
