Victorian Mahogany Antique Wellington Chest

This Charming Antique Wellington chest of drawers dates from around 1870 in the Victorian period . It has a beautifully figured top that sits above the prerequisite seven graduating drawers for seven days! All the drawers are mahogany lined and have turned handles which are secured in place by a locking arm with working lock and key. This wonderful chest if full of charm and character consistent with age and stands on a plain plinth. The mahogany has aged to a medium, shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
