This beautifully figured chest has a projecting moulded cornice over four cross-banded long drawers,of varying depths. Having half-rounded drawer dividers.
Engraved brass handles and matching escutcheons, with original steel locks.

Each drawer is constructed from very thick and heavy solid oak, opening on side-runners.
With oak panelled sides, standing on later bracket feet.
The walnut is a wonderful rich warm colour, having developed a glowing patina over the centuries, very tactile.

The condition overall is excellent antique condition, with general expected signs of use consistent with age, very minor. Super super colour. Original finish.
