A William and Mary Burr Walnut Chest of Drawers C 1700

Description

A beautifully figured and patinated William and Mary burr walnut chest of drawers c 1700. Of unusual form with four drawers of the same depth below an overhanging top with wide crossbanding and centered with an oval panel.

The bun feet later replacements as are the complimentary brass escutcheons.

This unusual chest is of the highest quality with well chosen matched veneers and a wonderful top. The oak line drawers are unusual in all being the same size with no locks and have double feather banding as decoration right down the middle.

Size : 39.5 ins wide 23.5 ins deep 34 ins high.
