Waterfall Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
Father and son – both Henry Walker – went on to produce their own furniture well into the next century. The graduated cockbeaded drawers - all side lined in solid oak - retain their original turned knob handles, again of Gillows pattern. The backing boards and all four turned bun feet are original, and there is a working key to the top full-width drawer. Presented in truly wonderful condition, this stunning chest of drawers represents a fine investment. It is English, dating from c.1825 – c.1850.
