Description

A superb Regency chest of drawers in mahogany. The rectangular top, with its D-moulded edge, sits over an arrangement of graduated cockbeaded drawers which have beautifully turned small knob handles. The drawers are lined in solid English oak, all four turned-foot supports are original – as are the backing boards, and there is a working key to the top full-width drawer. This stunning chest has the finest quality well-figured timbers and an original finish with a rich colour and a glowing patination. It is English, c.1820s.
