Stunning Georgian Chest of Drawers of Small Size

Description

A truly exceptional small George III chest of drawers measuring only 30.5” (775mm) across the carcass. The rectangular thumb-moulded edge top sits above an arrangement of graduated cockbeaded drawers; the beautiful old solid brass swan-neck handles, although not original, are absolutely correct for the piece. It is supported on handsome shaped bracket feet all of which are original, as are all the backing boards. All timbers used are beautifully well figured retaining their original finish with a rich, glowing colour and patina. This wonderful Georgian mahogany chest is English, c1780.
