We have 6 of these super quality, English oak stacking chests, they date from the 1930's and originally used in a Registrar's office in Liverpool to keep all the paperwork regarding to births, deaths and marriages.
Each stacking oak chest has five sections, all are paneled sided and were made by 'D.Mathews & Sons Liverpool'.
All are in excellent, clean condition and all are complete with the period brass name handles.
Solid oak, excellent quality.
Sold and priced individually, now in Miles Griffiths antiques showrooms in Clitheroe, Lancashire.
