Scottish Column Chest of Drawers

19th century
Description

Circa 1870, Scottish column/Kilmarnock chest of drawers. The shaped top has wonderful flame mahogany crossbanding on the edge. Beneath this is one long drawer which is ogee shaped, and three further drawers with matching flamed mahogany veneers, over three further graduating drawers with knob handles and again matching veneers. On the front of the chest are two large turned twisty columns. The base follows the shape of the top and is crossbanded in matching mahogany. The whole piece stands on four elegant tall bun feet. Classic example of a Scottish chest of drawers of the period.

Size 148cm high x 127cm wide x 58cm deep.

Most items include delivery anywhere in the UK mainland.
