17th Century Oak Garret Chest of Drawers

Description

Here is a delightful late 17th century two section chest of drawers.

Charles 11 c1680.

The excellent original design of this chest of drawers, makes it extremely easy to move, as it is in two sections.

The rectangular moulded top section has one long panelled drawer, over one long, very deep, panelled drawer.

The base section having two long panelled drawers.

All having brass drop handles, and ornate brass escutcheons.

Each drawer is constructed from very thick and heavy solid oak, opening on side-runners.

With panelled sides, standing on stile feet.

The chest is a wonderful colour, having developed a glowing warm patina, very tactile.

The condition overall is very good, with general expected signs of use consistent with age. Minor repairs. Original finish to the wood.

The dimensions are.

Height-93cm.

Width-96.5cm.

Depth-53cm.
