Chest of Drawers a Rare Small Charles II Oak Chest C1680 31 Inches Wide

Here we have a rare and wonderful charles II Oak chest of small proportions c1680. As you can see the chest has super colour and patina. There is a two plank top with a fantastic moulded edge leading to three long drawers. The drawers have thick dovetail joints and are hung with channels on either side as yo would expect. The base boards run from front to back and the drawers retain their original locks. The drawer fronts have fantastic chamfered edges and geometric mouldings. There is one original handle bottom left and the other are period replacements and again wonderful. The feet are original with stile feet to the back and stiles running through bun feet at the front. This high quality chest has a panelled back and is of course of pegged mortice and tenon construction. The chest is a wonderful desirable size and a purest piece for any period Oak collector. The chest is in fantastic condition and ready to use. The dimensions are approx 31 1/4 inches wide 28 1/2 high and 23 deep.
