Description

Circa 1920, large mahogany buffet by Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh, with an elongated top which has unusual shaped ends. The solid mahogany gables have open carving in the form of a lifting handle. Beneath the second tier are 2 full length drawers with flame mahogany panels on the front and stylish cast brass Lorimer style handles. Beneath this is a shaped apron. The whole piece stands on stylish cabriole legs which are chamfered at the top and finish on large pad feet. The piece is polished on all sides and is freestanding. This unusual stylish buffet has the original colour and patination.

Size 82cm high x 168cm wide x 49.5cm deep.
