Small Georgian Mahogany Antique Chest on Chest

Dating from the Georgian period, circa 1800, this wonderful antique mahogany chest on chest has very practical small proportions. The moulded cornice sits above two over six graduating drawers displaying cock beading and beautifully mirrored fronts along with decorative oval brass handles. It stands on shaped bracket feet and splits into three sections for ease of removal. Unlike many of its counterparts, this particular chest on chest has extremely practical proportions for the modern home making it a very desirable piece. It has aged to a lovely rich warm shade of mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
