Unusually Small Victorian Antique Ash Wellington Chest.

This Victorian antique Wellington chest dates from around 1890, is constructed from ash and has unusually small proportions. It has a beautifully figured moulded top above five ash lined drawers with the original Art Nouveau handles. This piece unusually has two swinging arms, one with a key and working lock. It appears well proportioned standing on a plain plinth and although looks like oak to the untrained eye, it is actually a warm light shade of ash with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
