The interior door opens to reveal a small cupboard with a drawer. Below the secretaire are 2 short and 2 long drawers with original good quality flush fitting brass handles. Each drawer with black and white horn inlaid stringing and brass escutcheons. The case work possibly Huang Huali with reeded edges around the drawers, base, top and feet and with camphor wood linings. The sides with brass carrying handles.
