Collinge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
They became especially well known for their Gothic Revival and Aesthetic Movement inspired work, often featuring ebonised detail.

A fine example of their work here with solid top, sides and drawer fronts with carved an ebonsided ‘tramline’ detail, hardwood linings and a shaped apron at the feet. In addition to the exceptional quality of the piece the Lamb tradition is continued with the extraordinary and original aesthetic movement brass and copper handles retained on each drawer. Excellent unrestored condition. Clearly Stamped ‘Lamb Manchester’ on the top right hand drawer front.
