Description

Here we have a rare and exceptional Victorian Mahogany Apothecary chest of drawers c1860. As you can see the colour and patina of the chest is incredible. The chest has wonderful provenance having the original labels to the inside reading G F Starmer, Chemist, Woodside Park Pharmacy, 92 High Street, North Finchley. It is also fresh to the market having original powders and potions in when I received it. The chest is in fantastic condition with the gilded name labels to each drawer and retaining the wonderful glass handles. The drawers are a beautiful colour from the solid Mahoagany and of course very well made with hand cut dovetail joints both front and rear. My cabinet maker has made the stands but it can be lifted off and hung should you wish. The chest is a stand out decorative functional piece of interior design not to be missed. The dimensions are approx 75 inches long 34 high and 9.5 deep. Without the stand 24 inches high.
