A Georgian Country Made Oak Chest

19th century
Description

A Geo III oak chest of 2 over 3 drawers. Overall a good mellow colour and grain with no splits in the top. Large shaped bracket feet and moulded top edge. Incised drawer surround decoration. The drawers are pine lined and in good useable condition. The brass drawer handles are later replacements but quite acceptable. The locks are present and the lock escutcheons are Edwardian brass repacements but most would accept them as originals. A good useable practical piece that will blend with, and compliment contemporary furniture.

93 cms wide by 51 cms deep and 90 cms high.
