Description

A small and rare William and Mary oyster veneered walnut and laburnum cross banded chest of two short and two long drawers c 1695 on later bun feet.

This small chest at 2ft 6ins wide has the most striking design of interlinked concentric rings flanked on the top by stylised heart motifs , The top two drawers are inlaid with prince of Wales feathers and the sides have a parquetry diamond design.

It has a wonderful depth of colour and patination on all four visible surfaces
