Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1800s.
It has a moulded cornice above a figured frieze with a two over five drawer configuration. All the drawers are oak lined and display cock beading along with brass swan neck handles. The piece stands on shaped bracket feet and splits into two sections aiding transportation and positioning. This antique chest of drawers is made from the finest quality timbers and is of very practical proportions for a chest on chest. It is a medium shade of mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
