Georgian Antique Mahogany Apothecary Chest.

This is a beautiful early 19th century antique mahogany chest has a total of twenty three drawers, all of which have the original wooden knob handles.

This kind of multiple drawer chest were originally used as an apothecary chest to store remedies and medicines in chemist shops.

Each drawer has finely cut dovetails and all the drawers run by freely.

In superb all round condition, the colour colour/patina is wonderful.

English. Circa: 1820.
