Credenza Victorian Burr and Figured Walnut C1870

Here we have the most stunning Victorian burr and figured Walnut credenza. As you can see this credenza has super colour and patina. As far as quality goes this is the rolls royce of its type. The attention to detail is astonishing. Lets start with the top which has beautiful colour from the figured Walnut. Only the best figured pieces have been used. There is a thumb moulded edge to the top and beneath a banding holding inset panels of burr Walnut which have very fine marquetry inlay in that typical Victorian style. There is an amazing amount of breathtaking ormolu mounting which again is the best quality I have seen. There are two pillars with inlaid decoration and the most beautiful ormolu mounts superbly cast. The central door has the finest inlay possible with a working lock and key to all doors. The interiors retain all there original linings. This is simply the best of its type I have ever seen and am likely to see. A very fine and beautiful piece of furniture in excellent retail condition ready for your home.
