Carse Antiques has dated this piece to the 1750s.
Drawers are all oak lined and the fronts are veneered on mahogany with cock beadings.

Very nice grained top with thumb mouldings. The base with typical 18th century mouldings and very nice original bold ogee bracket feet.
Solid mahogany ends with only one very small shrinkage crack a few inches up.
Overall this is one of the nicest 18th century chest of drawers we have offered for some time. The colour and patination is superb.
