Georgian Inlaid Mahogany Chest of Drawers

Description

A lovely flame mahogany inlaid mahogany chest of drawers from the early 19th century , the chest stands on splayed bracket feet adjoined with a shaped apron , the two short and three long dovetailed oak lined drawers are finished in super flame mahogany with satinwood line inlay , cock beading , brass escutchions and replaced oval embossed drop handles.

The top is edged with lovely quality cushion mouldings and is further enhanced with matching line inlay , the plain mahogany sides rest on splayed feet with an interesting double line inlay running down both sides and across the front to further enhance its good looks.

The chest has been sympatheticaly polished but still retains its age related usage marks beneath the surface,minor old dinks and dents only help retain its authentic appeal .
