Carse Antiques has dated this piece to the 1750s.
Mid 18th century 3 foot wide figured walnut tallboy in TOTALLY ORIGINAL condition.
Drawers are all oak lined with iron locks and original brass fretted plate handles.
The ends are also very nicely grained walnut with wide cross banding at the front. Very nice shape original bracket feet. The most georgous patination and colour only acheived from many years of waxing.
One or two old veneer repairs as you would exepct and a couple of the iron locks are later but otherwise this piece is in un-touched condition and such a lovely small size.
SIZE; The top section carcass is exactly 3 foot wide. Bottom section is therefore 3 foot 1" wide. 20" from front to back and the piece stands 70" high
