Chest of Drawers George III Secretaire Oak C1800

Here we have a beautiful George III Oak secretaire chest of drawers c1800. As you can see the chest has exceptional colour and patina. The chest is of excellent quality. The top has a thumb moulded edge leading to a cross banded frieze in Mahogany with chequered stringing. The secretaire drawer front has geometric stringing, an I---y escutcheon and the original bun handles. The drawers opens and the fall front is lowered to reveal a wonderful fitted interior. The same chequered stringing surrounds the central door with a beautiful shell inlay to the centre still in original colour. There are two secret drawers either side of the central cupboard and six further drawers with I---y handles. The main drawers and internal drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and Oak linings. The chest sits on its original bracket feet. This really is the most stunning piece of country furniture made in a very high quality way. The chest is in wxcellent retail condition and ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 43 inches wide 49 high and 23 deep.
