Antique Georgian Dower Chest Dresser

18th century
Description

A very original dower chest or dresser in oak with mahogany crossbanding to the top and drawer fronts. It has reeded quarter column corners ..The top 7 drawers are dummy drawers, the bottom 2 are real drawers.all have original brass work, this is the normal arrangement for this type of chest. The top lifts to reveal a large amount of usefull space inside.In excellent original condition.
