The beautifully shaped raised gallery follows the outline of the table and incorporates a pair of decorative brass handles, giving the piece its distinctive tray-top appearance.

Standing on four slender tapering legs, the table features an exceptionally attractive and unusual stretcher arrangement. Four shaped supports, each decorated with delicate floral motifs, radiate from a central oval medallion beautifully painted with a stylised flower. This lovely detail adds considerable character and makes the table particularly appealing from every angle.

The rich, warm tones of the timber provide a beautiful contrast to the colourful painted decoration, whilst the elegant proportions and refined detailing create a wonderfully decorative piece of furniture.

Equally suited for use as an occasional table, lamp table or decorative side table, this charming example would look delightful beside an armchair or sofa, in an elegant drawing room, bedroom or sitting room.

A particularly attractive and versatile antique table combining beautiful painted decoration, graceful proportions and unusual craftsmanship.
Condition:
Very good antique condition, retaining its attractive hand-painted decoration with some gentle age-related wear and minor surface marks. The floral and bird motifs remain clearly visible, with the subtle variations in colour and finish adding to the table's antique character. The shaped gallery, decorative brass handles and intricately detailed stretcher complement the warm colour and finish of the timber. A lovely example presenting beautifully whilst retaining the character expected of a piece of this age.
