Prometheus Antiques has dated this Framed Pastoral Oil Painting to the 1900s.
The title: ‘A Pastoral Symphony’ is on the retailer’s label on the reverse. The work was originally sold by T.Richardson & Co of Picadilly, who were fine art dealers in London at the end of the nineteenth century. The painting is in very good untouched condition and is signed to the lower right. Alonso Perez was born into a family of Spanish painters, trained in Rome, but worked in Paris with some success. He exhibited from a young age and by the time he was twenty he was exhibiting in the Paris Salon. This is a fine example of his worked and is framed in the original good quality English gilt frame. C.1900.
