Antique Elgin Pocket Watch, 1912

Description

Antique Elgin pocket watch, 1912.

The watch has a seven jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 16,290,296 which dates it back to 1912. It is all protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 47mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 14kt gold filled and it is in good condition, just a few minor marks, nothing serious at all.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has a short hairline crack underneath the subsidiary seconds dial but otherwise is in good condition. Blued steel hands.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
