Victorian Neo Classical Wine Jug with Pewter Lid

Description

This black matte earthenware jug featuring an antique old greek pattern was probably produced by f & r pratt in fenton, stoke on trent in the mid-19th century. The hand painted 'v' on the base shows that the jug was hand finished by a specialised decorator before its final firing. The pewter lid and hinge are in good original condition. The jug measures 8 ins tall and is in excellent original condition.
