Large Art Deco Sculpture of Hounds C.1930

Description

Large Art Deco spelter figure group of an elegant pair of greyhounds c.1930. Standing 17½" tall. Very well modelled as if in motion, one alert and with its head up, the other head down following a scent trail. Both hounds with collars on. Presented on a black marble plinth with projecting front edge and corners and pale marble (or possibly onyx) front face. Some tiny chips to the edges of the base, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
