Victorian Holdcroft Majolica Bear Jug

Description

Here we have a really wonderful late 19thC English majolica whimsical brown honey pitcher / jug by Joseph Holdcroft.

The bear is in an active pose, his open mouth forming the spout. The bear is holding a pale brown scoop that forms the top opening of the pitcher, and a honey dipping spoon hooked through the scoop, forming the handle.
