Description

A sweet Chaffers porcelain coffee cup with grooved handle, painted in the Chinoiserie style with exotic flowers and an orange and yellow bug. Unmarked, c.1765.

It measures 6.1cm (2 3/8") high and 5.5cm (2 1/4") rim to rim.

In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. The gilt rim is quite rubbed but minimal handling wear otherwise. The foot rim has been ground flat during manufacture.
