The rectangular shelves display attractive burr walnut figuring and are finished with moulded edges and canted corners. The telescopic supports rise neatly from the lower structure, allowing the upper shelves to be extended for displaying food, drinks, books or decorative objects.
Raised on architectural end supports with recessed panelled decoration, joined by a turned central stretcher and standing on shaped platform bases with turned feet and castors.
A practical and unusual piece of Victorian furniture, combining decorative burr walnut with a versatile rising mechanism.
