This eighteenth-century Qing Dynasty Chinese export porcelain cup and stand originates from the Qianlong period around 1750. The twin-handled fluted cup and the scalloped saucer stand display a white glaze enriched with famille rose hand-painted enamel decoration featuring birds among flowering plants and delicate gold leaf edges. The set includes a cup with two geometric handles and a matching stand with a central circular recess. The stand measures 14 cm in diameter and the cup stands 7 cm high. Today, this porcelain set serves as a decorative display piece suitable for placement upon a sideboard top within an English country house interior. The surfaces remain in excellent condition with no damage and no restoration.

Famille Rose refers to Chinese export porcelain decorated with opaque enamel pigments, featuring a dominant rose pink hue introduced during the Qing dynasty in the 18th century.

Pieces were formed from refined kaolin porcelain clay, fired at high temperatures, and subsequently decorated with overglaze enamel paints and gilding before undergoing a lower-temperature secondary firing.

Authentic items display hand-applied enamel decoration with subtle irregularities, age-consistent foot rim wear, period-appropriate potting thickness, and soft tonal variation in the glazes.

These decorative items can be displayed on open shelving, arranged inside glazed cabinets, or positioned on sideboards alongside contemporary tabletop accessories to create visual contrast.

Dust gently using a soft, dry brush. If washing is required, use lukewarm water with a mild liquid soap, avoiding abrasive sponges, harsh chemicals, or prolonged immersion.
