Athey Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The dentil moulded cornice over two panelled doors opening to an interior fitted with five pull out sliding trays, the base is unusually configured with four short and one long drawer, raised on shaped bracket feet.
With marks, scuffs and general wear and tear as is to be expected with functional antiques of this great age , overall this handsome press with a lovely deep colour and patina is in good sound condition with many years of service still ahead.
