This framed art print from 1960 is created in a mid-century modern style on paper, housed within a glass-fronted gilt wood frame with a neutral mat mount. The artwork depicts a ballerina figure in loose black pencil sketch details with vibrant blue dress accents and highlights on the costume, earrings, and shoes. A signature appears in pencil in the bottom right corner alongside a numbering edition mark in the bottom left corner, while the frame displays simple linear mouldings and a subtle metallic finish. The overall framed size measures 50 cm high and 70 cm wide. Suitable for hanging on narrow wall space within a living room, hallway, or bedroom, this piece integrates well into contemporary or traditional interiors. The wall display brings expressive character and artistic heritage into domestic spaces without overwhelming surrounding decor.

Mid-century figurative printmaking focuses on expressive line work, stylized form, and economical use of colour to convey movement and mood. Artists during this period often utilized lithography and etching to make graphic studies accessible to a wider collecting audience.

High-quality prints are typically executed on heavy archival rag paper using lightfast printing inks. They are mounted behind glass with acid-free matting to prevent discolouration and framed in timber or gilded mouldings.

Authentic limited edition prints feature hand-written edition numbers alongside a original pencil signature in the lower margin. The impression marks, paper quality, and clear printer details further confirm authenticity.

A framed dance study can be hung individually on a narrow wall or incorporated into an eclectic gallery wall alongside monochrome photography and minimalist sketches. The classic blue tones provide a refined colour accent against neutral backdrops.

Framed prints should be hung away from direct sunlight, dampness, and extreme temperature variations to prevent fading or foxing. Dust the frame gently with a dry soft cloth and clean the glass with a specialized, non-abrasive cleaner.
