Description

A fine Anglo‑Indian padouk campaign chest in untouched antique condition. Made in two sections with four carry handles, it features two deep short drawers over three long drawers, all dovetail‑constructed and running smoothly with inset bun handles.

As expected with genuine period pieces, there are a few age‑related marks — including a small loss to the gadroon carving and a fine crack to one side — but the chest remains strong, sturdy, and full of character. With its rich colouring, attractive grain, and excellent patina, it offers both practical storage and a striking piece of Anglo‑Indian history.
