Antique Edwardian Chest of Drawers

Description

An Edwardian satin walnut chest of drawers, featuring an arrangement of two short over three long graduating drawers with decorative brass handles and escutcheons. The chest has recently been stripped and freshly waxed, giving the timber a clean natural finish while highlighting the attractive grain and warm colour throughout.

The piece stands on a plinth base and retains a simple, well-proportioned Edwardian form. A good honest example with a pleasing colour and patina.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. The chest has been stripped and freshly waxed at some stage, with surface wear, marks, and minor imperfections consistent with age and use. There are darker areas and natural variation to the timber, particularly across the top. Overall, the chest remains solid and sound with drawers running well.
