Krave Antiques has dated this Georgian Needlework Map Sampler to the 18th Century.
The sampler has floral decoration surrounding the map and shows the maker and date it was made.

A fabulous George III sampler that is an impressive size being 64 cm in height, comes in it's original wooden frame and is in very good condition being over 200 years old.
There is a hanging plate on the reverse for hanging.

Date: 1796.
Dimensions: Width: 58 cm (23"). Height: 64 cm (25"). Depth: 3 cm (1 1/4").
Weight: 3.9 kg.
Framed and glazed.
Condition: Very good antique condition with some age related wear, holes, marks and discoloration. Glass is in good condition. Comes in it's original wooden frame that has some age related wear and nicks. Please see pictures.
