Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Georgian needlework map sampler is an embroidered textile created primarily during the late 18th and early 19th centuries as an educational exercise for young women to practice both needlework skills and geography.

These samplers were typically embroidered using fine silk threads onto a woven silk or linen ground, often mounted within a circular or oval moulded wooden frame.

Authentic period samplers display hand-stitched details, slight natural oxidisation or age spots, period-appropriate typography, and hand-drawn or engraved foundation guidelines beneath the stitching.

An embroidered map sampler can be hung as part of a gallery wall, positioned above a sideboard, or displayed in a study to add historic texture and visual interest.

To prevent degradation, keep the textile out of direct sunlight, mount it using acid-free materials behind UV-filtering glass, and maintain a stable humidity level.
