Henry John Kinnaird fl1880-1920.Painted landscapes and river scenes.Exhibited 9 works at RA,8 works SS.Lived at Ringmer, near Lewes,Sussex.Painted in a broad,naturalistic style ,at times, similar to Horace Hooper.This is an unusually large and fine example of the artists work . ‘The Backwater,Wargrave on Thames’signed watercolour,inscribed with title,image size 50x72 cms ,framed size 77x100 cms.Housed in original period giltwood frame.Provenance : exhibited RBA in 1889(no 143) ;with Fine Lines Fine Art,Shipston on Stour,Warks.
