The chest stands on nicely shaped ogee bracket feet. It is an excellent quality piece with a lovely rich grain and patina and a solid panelled back.
It is in very good condition for its age and displays well. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are some minor signs of age and use, a few small knocks and marks and some small old repairs but nothing untoward or detrimental. The chest has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
