Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this Arts and Crafts Oak Dresser to the 19th Century.
Dating from around 1890, this is an early piece of Heals solid antique oak furniture, a large scale dresser that splits into three sections, the architectural lift off cornice, the open rack with panelled door cupboards to each side, and then the dresser base that stands on a stretchered base with turned legs and having two drawers over two cupboards. In superb condition throughout, stamped twice with the makers label and by the maker into a drawer. Complete with all the original iron work and all a very good original colour. Only a handful of these dressers where ever made, this is one of Ambrose Heals earliest designs.
